God gives us stuff.

We are in the car and Marinn says something very smart. 

Mommy: How did you get so smart marinn?

Marinn: God gave me that.

Mommy: God gave you what Marinn?

Marinn: He gave me silly words.  God gives us stuff you know.

Mommy: What else did he give you?

Marinn: That’s it. 

A day later the girls are at the table eating and the conversation goes something like this.

Daddy: Moms so pretty isn't she girls.

Marinn: Yes she is.  Mommy, where did you get that? 

Mommy: God gave it to me. 

Marinn: What did he give daddy? 

Mommy: He gave daddy big strong muscles so he could carry us around. 

Marinn: OHHH (as she shrugs a shoulder and bats her eyes)... What did he give Toto?

Mommy: Ask Toto.

Marinn: Toto what did God give you?

Toto:  (pauses, then very confidently)  Two. 

Marinn: No God didn't give you that. 

Daddy walks by doing Totos signature cha cha dance. 

Mommy: God gave Toto the cha cha dance.  

Marinn: OHHHHH TOTO! God gave you the cha cha dance!!! (very excited) 

Sooo... what did God give you? 

It smells like lamb.

Marinn and Taurin grabbed the Baby lotion and asked for some.
I put some in their hands.
Marinn rubbed her hands together and said, "Smell it Toto... it smells like lamb."
I ask, "It smells like what Marinn?"
Marinn says, "It smells like lamb... like on that." and she points to the baby lotion.

Hilarious!!! I love it!

Silly Faces...

It all started with a fish face...

Then it progressed to an "O" face.

I totally have the coolest kids in the world!

Being this handsome can be very tiring. 

We love our daddy...

Andrew told Marinn and Taurin a few months ago that he was bringing home a surprise. They were soo excited to have him home for a few days... and the surprise was great! 

Taurin fell asleep in her daddy's lap more than once during his time with us... so sweet.

Marinn is faking but she is a great actress. : )

Notice the scratch on the back of her hand- a rug burn from wrestling with daddy. She was having so much fun when it happened she didn't even cry and it wasn't till the next day that we even saw it. 

Road trip madness

On Wednesday morning we (Me, Andrew, Marinn, Taurin, Shaw, Aspyn, & Tearony) headed out all packed in the van for New Mexico about a 7 hour drive. 

About 5 hours into our trek the van erupted with this:

You know that fun sound that's made when you say AHHH and pat your hand on your mouth? 

Everyone was getting into it and eventually Shaw even joined in on the fun.

There was a moment in the midst of all this craziness I looked over at Andrew and he just smiled.  No words were needed.

Overall the kids did amazing on this drive... During the drive we only stopped 2 times for pottie breaks.  Pretty impressive for that many little kiddos. 

Counting

I told Marinn that daddy was coming home soon in about 27 days (this was a while ago... it's sooner now) and she asked me to show her.  So I started counting with my fingers and when I ran out I said i didn't have enough fingers to show her how long.  

She quickly replied, "You can use your toes too mom!"

When did she get so smart?
