Mommy you're Elastigirl

Marinn has said on a number of occasions:
"Mom you are married.
So you are Elastigirl."

Then the other day she told me:
"Mommy God has a favorite out there for me.
And when he comes, we are going to dance.
Then we will be married.
Then I will be Elastigirl. Just like you."

Let me just say the thought process of my almost 4 year old blows me away on a daily basis.
I do love being Elastigirl.

Baby Squash

While in the store today the girls began to get a bit restless. I was purchasing a spaghetti squash... I cradled the squash gently and explained to Taurin I needed her to hold my baby.  She gently held the squash giving a little "shhh shhh" here and there.  The awesome part was she was completely still fully engrossed in caring for the baby squash.
Marinn was feeling a bit left out of the mommy circle and asked for a baby of her own... the only thing I had left that was close to a baby was a jar of Ragu... I picked it up and cradled it gently and passed it off to Marinn.  The remaining time in the store was spent sitting quietly taking care of their babies.
On the way home in the car, Marinn now holding the baby squash, says, "Mom the baby squash is sad because she misses her mommy and daddy."  I explain we can adopt the squash and she can be a part of our family. Marinn responds, "Yes, and we can eat her."  This answer surprised me considering her love for the squash but I thought it was hilarious at the same time....
the logic: part of a family= you get eaten?!

Gone with the Mullet

Now we just get to wait on the bangs to grow out and we will be great.

Pizzeria Princess

I went to check on Taurin during a nap the other day and found her cuddling her wooden pizza cutter.  I remember her grabbing it as I laid her down but thought it would end up on the floor.  Moments like this make me wonder if she is destined to be the owner of a world famous pizzeria or maybe I just need to buy her something soft and cuddly to sleep with?

80's Hair Cut #2

About a week ago Marinn decided to give herself a second hair cut.  She is sticking with her previous theme but has gone from the modern "side mullet" to the "classic mullet". Pretty much hacking off most of her bangs... what can I say? Business in the front... Party in the back.
When asked why she did it, she said, "I wanted to look like Hannah Montana."
The funny thing is she's never even seen Hannah Montana and has no idea what she looks like. She's just heard some friends talking about Hannah Montana.
Needless to say we are able to cover her handywork by doing a sort of comb over with a clip with the rest of her bangs... ahh how this child challenges my creative solutions.

Ahh to be 3 again...

After a day of
running errands with mom
snacking on cheese sticks
playing with you brother and sister
and your best friend
swimming in the pool
there is nothing like relaxing and watching some cartoons while you snack on fish crackers....

ahhh to be three.

Panella

Marinn: "I want a Panella cone."
Brianna: "I want a Van-ill-a cone.
