Mermaid Hair

Taurin just came downstairs and said,
"Look Mom! I have big mermaid hair!"

I was lucky enough to snag a picture.

"It's up to You."

In the mornings the family usually hangs out in our bed, visiting and just goofing off before we all get up and start the day.
The other morning everyone was up too early so we were laying down trying to go back to sleep.  Marinn rolls over looks me in the eye and tells me,
"It's up to YOU mom."
I ask, "What is?"
Confidently she says, "It's up to YOU to take a nap. I'm gonna go play now."

Shout Out!

I wanted to give a big shout out and thank you to one of my faithful blog readers Laurel John.

Sometimes when writing a blog I wonder who really reads this stuff? Not everyone that reads will comment... I know I don't comment on every blog that I read, but it's nice to hear that all different people of all ages are reading my silly stories and sometimes getting a good laugh.

Thanks Laurel for taking the time to enjoy some silliness from our lives!

Here are a few of Laurels favorite blogs from silly silliness.

This one is about an interesting switch made between friends...

This one involves a Dora toothbrush....

The Moon and Aprons

Today in the car out of nowhere Taurin says,
"When it gets dark, the moon will come on."
I love her outlook on life and the way she says stuff, it's goofy and carefree.

She is my early bird, she is usually the first one awake.  The first thing she says is,
 "Mom, I'm hungy." (That's hungry.)
But the other morning I think she was really hungry because she had a plan...
She's the first one up, and she says,
"Mom, let's let Daddy and Shaw and Marinn sleep and we can go down stairs and make dinner. But I need my apron on."
The sound of her voice was so confident and sure of her plan. I loved it.

Lion in a Cage

As we were leaving a restaurant Andrew took the kids out to the car to get them loaded up.  Marinn asked where mommy was and Andrew told her they were gonna put me in the cage with the lion.  Then Andrew asked her what she thought the lion was going to do?
She replies, "Hes gonna tell mommy to get out of his cage."
Andrew explained that lions eat meat and people are made out of meat. And waited for her response.
There was a blank look on her face and no comments for the next 10 min.
When I got into the car the first thing Taurin asked me was, "Where is the cage mom? Where is the cage??"
I then got filled in on the conversation that had taken place... I looked back at Marinn and she still had the blank look on her face.

Marinn Mutton Busting

We went to the rodeo last night with some friends and Marinn had the opportunity to do "Mutton Busting" which is basically riding a sheep.
We asked her if she wanted to do it and she was really excited.  Her ride was short but she had a great time and has asked to do it again.
Here is the link to the video of the action:
