Your Baby Can Read Go Potty & Read!
I've been potty training Taurin but she's such a ball of energy it's hard to keep her still long enough to get everything out. So I've been trying to distract her with a book to read... then today I got a brilliant idea.
We have that program called Your Baby Can Read! It's basically books, flash cards, and videos that have big words and then corresponding pictures to help them learn words. (This is one of the books.)
When working with the girls Taurin is always the one with the limited attention span. So today I grabbed the book as we headed to one of our many potty breaks. She loved going through the book and was actually very involved with the whole process not to mention she went potty!!! I've decided that if we are going to be spending that much time in the bathroom we might as well be learning to read at the same time.
I'm excited to see how this goes... I just might be onto a new program! Of course I will call it

We did that with Piper...well, not the YOUR BABY CAN READ books, but books nonetheless! She loved it! Go Taurin!
ReplyDeleteK I want to know how it works out! Taite keeps telling me that we should get that for Tavin! We actually need it for him! Tavin took his diaper off in his crib the other day! NOT SO FUN! I don't know if that mean potty training time...I don't know if I'm ready! Good Luck!
